The Espada has made touchdown....on own wheels again for the first time since 1999 since start of the works.
I am moving to another location, so to move the car I had to fit the original rims with temporary lowcost tires : It is still my intention to fit larger diameter rims, 17" up from 15"...in order to enter a more wide selection of modern tires. The original tire size 215x70 on the 15"x7" rims are now abundant for 4x4 SUV's....but low-speed rated, those few that are high-speed rated ( +VR) are unreasonable expensive.
With the car out in the Spanish winter sunlight, I take the opportunity to snap some pictures, so here you have a collection...
Note rearlights are certainly not standard...also rear-bumpers will not be re-fitted.....
Rear and quarter glass' still un-installed....
The windscreen seen is not useable : it is cracked through the middle...anyway I will need an oversized windscreen as I want to bond it to the carbody...avoiding the traditional crome-strils popriveted to the carbody abd rubber-profiles.
Side-spoilers added to prevent too much air pressing down under the car ( creating the "traditional" light steering feel )....and also to improve engine-bay air-flow.
Rear tip mufflers will be added if needed.....but for sure some nice and agressive exhaust "ports" are needed here !
